Bazpur is a town and a municipality in Udham Singh Nagar district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Bazpur is well connected with the industrial city of Rudrapur and the historical city of Kashipur. Bazpur is nearest city to Nainital. It is an affluent town, mainly due to large agricultural estates. The Capuchin missionary fathers were the pioneers who sowed the seed of Christianity in Bazpur. To cater to the educational needs of the local people of the remote village, at the repeated requests of Bishop Adrian Conrad De Vito, the then Bishop of Lucknow, Mother Stefania Murelli, the delegate of the UMI Indian mission consented to open a convent and a school.
